FAQ's
About Looped
What is Looped?
Looped is a screen-free home phone designed for children. It works just like the landline you grew up with - your child picks it up, dials a number, and talks to someone they love. Nothing but calls.
What age is Looped suitable for?
Looped is designed for children aged 5 and up - old enough to dial a number and start chatting. Younger children can use it with a grown-up nearby.
Is Looped a smartphone?
No. Looped is a home phone - a modern landline for children. It does one thing brilliantly: let’s your child call the people you choose. There's no screen, apps or internet browsing.
How is Looped different from a kids smartwatch or kids smartphone?
Smartwatches and kids' phones still have screens, notifications and apps competing for attention. Looped has none of that. It stays at home, it's built around conversation, and there's nothing to scroll.
Does Looped have the internet?
Looped uses your home Wi-Fi purely to carry calls. Your child can't browse the internet or access anything online.
Does Looped have games or apps?
No. There is nothing to download, nothing to unlock and nothing to scroll. It’s just a good old phone.
Does Looped have a screen?
No, and that's by design. Without a screen, children build real communication skills. They learn to answer the phone, ask who's calling, chat to someone they weren't expecting and pass on a message. We’ve learned that screens get in the way of that.
Why does it have a cord?
Because twirling the cord is half the fun.
